E-Flight will soon also train sustainable commercial pilots (CPL)
(The entire E-Flight Team)
E-Flight Academy, Europe's first electric flight school, is preparing for an evolution in their services. After more than two years of successfully operating as a Declared Training Organisation (DTO), E-Flight Academy is about to transform into an Approved Training Organisation (ATO).
Sustainable trained commercial pilots
This transformation symbolizes a significant expansion of the training offerings of E-Flight Academy. Soon they will be able to train commercial pilots. As Europe's first electric flight school, E-Flight Academy plays a pioneering role, perfectly in line with their mission to make aviation more sustainable where it can truly happen today: training pilots.

Need for new pilots
Research from, among others, Boeing shows that there is a strong demand for new commercial pilots. According to estimates, between 2018 and 2037, 146,000 new pilots will be needed in Europe alone. E-Flight Academy believes that a significant portion of the training hours for these new pilots can be made more sustainable. This offers a unique opportunity for the aviation industry to concretely become more sustainable and reduce CO2 emissions.
"We are pioneers in electric flying and we embrace this challenge with both hands. We will prove our position in our own training and in line with our growth strategy, we will involve established training partners across Europe to roll out the electrification of training hours on a large scale. Our goal is to play a leading role in the transition to a more sustainable aviation sector."
Thus Evert-Jan Feld, Head of Training and founder of E-Flight.
Diverse training options
With the transformation to an ATO, E-Flight Academy can expand its range of training programs. In addition to training commercial pilots (CPL), they will now also offer courses for Night Rating, Instrument Rating, and Flight Instructor Rating. This means that a wider range of training opportunities will be available for both new and experienced pilots.
