The advantage of lessons in our E-Flight Simulator
Our E-Flight Simulator is one of the most sustainable and efficient training methods available. In the air, you can lose a lot of time preparing for an exercise, such as a landing, which you perform in just a few seconds. After that, you spend precious minutes getting ready for the next short learning moments. In our E-Flight Simulator, you do not experience these delays. With just one click, we put you in the perfect position to practice an exercise over and over again until you master it completely.
Traning at your familiar virtual airport
Our team of engineers, Bart, Edwin, and Gijs, has virtually reconstructed the Pipistrel Velis Electro down to the smallest details. Countless flight exercises have been pre-programmed, allowing you to practice glide-in, crosswind landings, or emergency procedures at the push of a button. As soon as you put on the VR headset, you find yourself in the lifelike cockpit of the Velis at your familiar virtual airport Teuge.
How does a lesson in the simulator proceed?
Each simulator lesson follows the same structure as a regular flight lesson, including a briefing, flight, and debriefing, and lasts a total of about two hours. We offer these simulator lessons under the following conditions:
- In case of poor VFR flying weather: Your journey to Teuge is never in vain, as the simulator can be valuable in almost every phase of your training.
- For specific training: If you want to practice certain exercises or procedures thoroughly, the simulator can perfectly replicate the desired conditions, allowing you to practice more often than would be possible in a real aircraft.
- For experiencing rare or dangerous situations: In the simulator, you can safely practice scenarios such as extreme weather conditions, engine failure with emergency landings, or bird strikes.
Important information:
- Time registration: Currently, the lessons in the simulator do not count as official flight hours. However, we are working on the certification of our simulator. Once it is certified, you may count a maximum of 5 hours of simulator experience towards your training.
- Training value: Although the flight time in the simulator does not count towards the training hours, it offers significant training value. The extra practice in the simulator can reduce the likelihood that you will need more than the planned flight hours.
