Wat is het?
Starting a flight training program is a dream for many. It is also an investment of time and money. To ensure that flying is really for you, we offer an assessment. It provides a very good insight into the training, the experience of flying, and your own aptitude.
An assessment consists of six vlieglessons. These are also the first six lessons of the PPL training. They therefore count towards the minimum 45 hours. After these lessons, you will have answers to the following questions:
- Is flying really your dream? Is it worth the investment?
- Do you have the aptitude to become a pilot?
In other words; Do you really want this? And how realistic is it that you can take and pass your practical exam within the minimum requirement of 45 flight hours? You also have to take into account that this may increase. That's not unusual at all. On average, people need an additional 6 to 10 lessons.
After the lessons
After the six lessons, you will evaluate the training with the instructor. It may be that you indeed find it fantastic and have talent as well. It may also be that you, or the instructor, come to the conclusion that becoming a pilot may not be for you. You discuss the continuation of the training. Of course, the hours you have completed count towards obtaining your certificate.
What you do and do not need
You do not need to have completed a medical examination or passed a theory exam for this assessment yet.
Furthermore, the following conditions apply
- You are 16 years old or older.
- If you weigh more than 95 kilos (with clothes and shoes on), or are taller than 1.95 m, please give us a call. There are restrictions with a maximum starting weight of 600 kilograms.
Date and time to schedule
You can choose your dates and times directly when placing your order. You can also do this later. We we will then send you the information and all possible dates on which you can schedule the lessons. Of course, it may happen that the weather is unfavorable and we have to reschedule a lesson. We will always inform you as soon as possible.
Taking lessons on the weekend
That is possible, we are open every day. Please keep in mind that the airport charges higher landing fees for all flights from early April to late September. Therefore, the assessment is more expensive during this period if you want to take lessons on the weekend.
Good to know
Have you already had a trial lesson, then you are probably looking for the PPL assessment of 5 lessons.
